BIOGRAPHY

Born in Belgium with a strong heritage from the Burgundy region of France, my artistic journey took me to Paris, where I studied at the Atelier Met de Penninghen et Jacques d'Andon and later at the École HourdÉ ESAT. These formative years in the heart of Paris fuelled a passion for art and graphic design, which I further explored while painting in the South of France during the 1990s.
This love for art was matched by a desire to see the world, leading me on extensive travels that shaped my creative perspective. These experiences, rich in diverse cultures and landscapes, deeply influenced my work. My experiences as an interpreter further enriched my understanding of communication, both through language and the visual arts.
After spending seventeen years in Africa, I relocated to New Zealand, first settling in the North Island.
However, it was only when I moved to the South Island that I felt a deep connection to the land. The stunning beauty of Canterbury, with its ever-changing light and landscapes, reignited my passion for painting.
This magical place has become my muse, inspiring me to express myself once again through the medium of art.
Today, I am privileged to call Christchurch home, where the land and its people continue to inspire more artwork yet to come.
